Cybersecurity Assessment and Awareness
Cybersecurity incidents, such as hacking and phishing are increasing at a phenomenal rate, and pose an increasing threat to businesses of all sizes. In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic led millions of workers to begin what Time called the “the world’s largest work-from-home experiment.” Online scams spiked by more than 400% in March 2020 compared to previous months, according to international law firm Reed Smith, while Google revealed it was blocking more than 18 million malware and phishing emails related to COVID-19 every day. Remote workers will continue to be a target for cybercriminals, while smaller organizations (1–250 employees) have the highest targeted malicious email rate at 1 in 323. (Symantec)
